You must give your audience the ability to put into action whatever it is that you’re teaching. If you’re in the financial niche and tell someone who’s struggling financially that they need to “create an emergency fund” by “making more money” – but you don’t give them a precise blueprint on how to make that money, then they don’t know what to do.
Make a post that’s dedicated to taking them from start to finish with specific “to do” steps or a guide they can follow.
A lot of people will tell you that this type of content does not work. What they mean is they've never made it work for them. Buyers' guides help people make decisions. But they actually do need to have an idea of what happens next. Otherwise, they won't be able to make any sense of it.
Step-by-step content is audience-building content, it attracts people who want to take action to you. They may not be ready for your services and products right now but they will recommend you and tag you. These people may still be on the lowest part of Maslow's pyramid where their physiological needs are not being fully met. Until those needs are met, they'll not be ready to (or able to) purchase your services, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't help people here. They'll remember you when their situation changes.
Format for this type of Content
This can be in video format embedded in your blog or it can be text. Remember you can create a hybrid of the two, with the text being a transcript of the video. If you use a slide presentation, you can give them the slides to download to pair with the text transcript if they happen to not enjoy video.
