One of my favourite business quotes is from Zig Ziglar, he said, “You can have everything in life you want, if you’ll help enough other people get what they want.”
Isn’t that the truth! The most successful companies that sell millions worth of products usually cater to people’s needs. Razor blades, toothpaste, sneakers, etc. are all consumer products that solve problems.
In the same vein, if you have a blog that helps other people to solve their problems, your blog will be very popular, make money, and inspire confidence and empower you.
There’s something very rewarding in knowing that your blog touched someone else’s life… and if you do it right, you’ll get a lot of comments on your blog from strangers thanking you for the value you provide.
What problems are people facing?
Before starting your blog, you’ll need to ask yourself two questions… what are you passionate about? And what problems are there in the niche that you’re passionate about?
If you love golf, you’ll know what problems golfers face. If you’ve been coping with back aches, you know what products benefit you.
So, all you need to do is blog about the topic you’re interested in and offer as many solutions to problems as you can, in the form of answers and tips, etc.
Do you have the answers?
Every single one of us has little tips and tricks that we use to manage our lives. It could be something as simple as placing a pillow under your feet when you go to bed to relieve your back pain. It may seem commonplace to you, but to someone who doesn’t know this tip, it may be a godsend when they read it on your blog and apply it. They may finally be able to get a decent night’s rest without tossing and turning because of the back pain.
Even if you do not have all the answers, there are many products and solutions on the market that you can recommend to your readers. By testing out the different products, you’ll become more knowledgeable about your niche and this will empower you to provide even more value.
Are you sharing the info for free?
While you should give away as much value as you can, you’ll also need to be mindful that you are a business owner. You’ll want to package your detailed information into a product that can be sold for profits.
So, you give away a lot of value and when people see how good your free content is, they’ll be much more tempted to buy what you have to offer.
Being authentic
Speak your mind on your blog. Do not sugarcoat the truth. If a product you tried does not deliver on its claims, just blog about it honestly and give your readers enough information to make up their minds.
Only promote what works for you and your audience. If you don't, and they get stuck you won't be able to help them. This is one of the fastest ways to lose your audience.
Your blog is more than just a blog
Your blog will not only help others, but it will help you too. It’ll be something you’re passionate about and when you start seeing others benefit, you’ll feel great about yourself. The money you earn in the process will boost your self-esteem too.
It doesn’t get better than that.
