In this day and age of information overload and data collection online, website privacy is a must-have for any business online. WordPress helps you to link to a privacy policy that will explain your position on privacy and what data you collect. Depending on where you live and do business, you may have a lawful duty to display a privacy policy.
The Privacy Setting page has one setting with two options - Select a Privacy Policy Page.

A link to the Privacy Policy will appear on the WordPress login screen. It will be up to the site admin/web designer to add the link elsewhere throughout the website. The footer is usually a good place for this so that it shows on all pages of your WordPress Website.
If you have already created a Private Policy and saved it as a page on your WordPress site, then just select the page title from the drop-down list. Once you have the page selected, simply click the Use This Page button.
If you have not already created a Private Policy and saved it as a page on your WordPress site, then click on the Create New Page button. This will allow you to create a new page with your privacy policy. If you don’t know what to include in your Privacy Policy, perform a Google search for privacy policy and you will find free samples you can base yours on. However, it may be best to consult an attorney in your area to make sure you are in compliance with the law in your area.
Once you have created the Privacy Policy page, simply return to the Privacy Policy page and select the page you just created and then click the Use This Page button.
